Spring Meets Winter
First Chapter Excerpts Author's Comments Reviews
Spring Meets Winter

Start with forgotten children, sprinkle on some pollen, coat with DDT, mix in ample radiation, add a wish, and bake for 18 hours - that was their recipe - I was one of the children. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get the DDT till after they started adding the radiation and I wasn't just a child, there was the unborn child of my abusive father in my womb. Now they have to watch me as I watch them. Only I can’t watch them with the dead, blackened eyes that I once saw with but with the other abilities that have grown in me, the abilities that I am trying to hide, the abilities that I am fighting to control.

  Works In Progress

Okay, I have one novel written and ideas for about a dozen more. However, I have only started on three of them. I am not sure which I will finish first, but I will update as I go. Here are the titles and a little about them.

Earth and Snow

Earth and Snow is a sequel to Spring Meets Winter. The novel picks up just a few minutes after where the last one left off. I stopped after the first chapter and a brief outline for this novel as I have been focusing on the next two projects.

Chimree Republic: The Cleansing

I am very excited about The Cleansing. This is a futuristic novel about a small group of people during a civil war.

Near the turn of the 29th century, a scared, little sulteer boy crawled unnoticed down a sewer drain in Shurefleet to escape the Chimree, winged beasts with the bodies of lions and the heads of demons - goddesses to die for, literally. No one knew until 16 years later, The Cleansing of the Southern Grid, the second massacre by the Chimree, that there was a living witness to the Rise of the Chimree. No one knew until the little sulteer that ran became the one who stood defiant in the face of the Chimree horde.

There are some similarities with Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick, the Resident Evil series, Minority Report, and Ladyhawke.

Passages of Consequence: The Open Door

The Open Door had the best introduction that I have written. I started on this novel three separate times, each time failing. Now, with my wonderful intro in the waste pile, a new, trimed-down outline, and some powerful motivation, I have restarted this project from a different angle and words are once again flowing onto the paper.

Alien invasions start small.

There exist doorways that connect worlds - doorways that open and close, that can be seen by some but not others, and that each carry consequences for entrance and more dire consequences for avoidance. A door opened on earth and group of seven came through. With a mission to assassinate one person to save their home world from predicted destruction, subplots of love, loyalty, and intergalactic politics bring out everyone’s true character and motivations.

There are some similarities in plot, structure, or characters with Host (book), Jumper (book), Stargate (movie and TV show), Sliders (TV show), and those crazy people flying around in wingsuits.
