When I am writing, I try and get the thoughts on paper before I lose them. This is as great for creativity as it is bad for communication. I misspell things, make assumptions, leave out descriptions, use words that might not have the right connotation or feel, and just generally have poor sentence structure. I can go through my work and catch a lot of the little things, spelling and grammar, but that is only the beginning. I am blinded by my own assumptions and I forget to describe the things that I see so clearly in my mind. Christina worked with me on my manuscript to find the traits that made my characters unique and the descriptions for my scenes to take you there. By playing with the questions she asked and listening to her suggestions, I was able to make my draft into a novel. I would highly recommend her to anyone that wants to write, or even just communicate, more effectively.
